Friendly, plain-English Medicare help for Polk County seniors — when to enroll, what your choices are, and whether your current plan still fits. Free, with no obligation.
Helping residents across Lakeland, Winter Haven, Bartow, Haines City and all of Polk County.
Your Initial Enrollment Period lasts 7 months: the 3 months before your 65th birthday month, your birthday month, and the 3 months after. Signing up inside that window avoids gaps in coverage.
Once you have Parts A and B, you pick between Original Medicare (often paired with a supplement and a drug plan) or a Medicare Advantage plan that combines them. We'll make the choice clear.
Plans adjust premiums, networks, drug lists, and extras year to year, so last year's good fit may not be this year's. We'll look over your current Advantage plan at no cost and no obligation — checking your Lakeland doctors and your prescriptions, and comparing plans available in Polk County.
You can switch during Medicare Open Enrollment (Oct 15 – Dec 7), or, if you're already in an Advantage plan, during the Medicare Advantage Open Enrollment Period (Jan 1 – Mar 31).
Remember: we do not offer every plan available in your area. Any information we provide is limited to the plans we do offer there.
