Most people first become eligible for Medicare in the month they turn 65. Your Initial Enrollment Period is 7 months long: the 3 months before your 65th birthday month, your birthday month itself, and the 3 months after. Signing up during this window keeps your coverage smooth.
What to know before you decide:
Have a rough list of your doctors and your current prescriptions handy. That's usually all we need to point you to the plan that actually fits — not just the one with the loudest ad.
Already on Medicare because of a disability, or helping a parent? We're glad to help you too.

We'll look over your current Advantage plan at no cost and no obligation and tell you, in plain English, whether your doctors and prescriptions are still covered and whether another plan fits you better.
